You know something is a great idea when you look at it and say – that’s just so obvious, why didn’t someone think of that ages ago? That is certainly the case with mPort, a new venture by a team of Sydney based Uni graduates.
According to the sales pitch, mPort uses infra-red technology to perform a safe, full body scan of a consumer in a private scanning pod. This digital map of the body can then be used to order tailor made clothing in-store or online, meaning you will presumably get your size right every time. The technology should also reduce the return rate of garments ordered online, which has huge benefits for the retailer as well.
