What do you do when a customer walks into your retail store? The answer to this might seem simple, yet how do so many sales staff get this simple fundamental so wrong?

When a customer enters your store, they are giving you a non-verbal signal that they are looking for something – they may want something specific, or they may just be browsing, but either way there is still an opportunity to make a sale. How you react to them will determine whether they buy an item (or a number of items) or walk out empty handed. There are some simple yet effective ways you can make sure you get a positive result from a customer entering your store.
