SYDNEY, Australia – 24 October 2017 – zipMoney Limited (ASX: ZML) (“zipMoney” or “Zip”) and cloud-based retail software provider, Retail Express, have announced a partnership which sees the exclusive integration of Zip products into the Point of Sale systems of over 4,000 Australian retailers. The partnership is significant because it represents the first time that it has been possible for a retailer to offer “Buy Now Pay Later” for zero activation cost and at the touch of a button.
Retail Express retailers can apply for and be up and running in the same day, allowing them to “switch on” Zip with ease. The “Buy Now Pay Later” option offered at checkout has been proven to increase cart uplift and customer loyalty.
Once a retailer is signed up to Zip, their customers can check out with zipPay or zipMoney. Existing Zip users can simply sign into their account on their mobile device, generate a payment code and check out in a matter of moments.
New Zip customers can sign up at any time via their mobile device and get a credit decision on the spot. A direct point-of-sale (POS) integration with Retail Express allows the processing of payments made with Zip via the POS, with same day settlement for transactions processed prior to 4pm. For merchants, the ease of integration and the zero cost levels the playing field giving them access to a powerful retail engagement tool.
“Retail Express is a leading omni-channel solution provider in the Australian market. Being cloud-based, they’re able to roll out Zip with one quick update, removing the need for implementation partners and expensive upgrades,” said Larry Diamond, CEO and co-founder of zipMoney. “Our partnership with Retail Express demonstrates the importance of providing a seamless payments experience both online and in-store. Today’s customers demand flexibility and choice with their payment options. The digital wallet is a true enabler of this and Retail Express is committed to providing their retailers with the latest and greatest to help them grow and stay ahead.”
Retail Express CEO, Aaron Blackman said: “We strongly believe that Zip offer a very attractive and flexible solution to customers and a relationship with Zip will be frictionless at the point of sale. We pride ourselves on helping our retailers to reduce costs, improve efficiency and grow sales; the integration with Zip reinforces these benefits.”
“With this partnership, our retailers are now in a better position to service their customers and grow their business.” said Mr Blackman.
The integration is available from today, giving Retail Express retailers a competitive advantage… just in time for Christmas!
