Footgear found that they were unable to grow any further after just three stores as their old server based software was clunky and needed to be updated with the store every night. This didn’t always happen on time and stock numbers were often incorrect leading to over or under ordering of stock.
“After we made the switch to Retail Express, we were able to finally see our inventory numbers in real-time” says John.
They can easily see what stock they have on hand, what they need to order and allow it to feed into their accounting package accurately.
With reliable and accurate data available to the second, Footgear are now able to make an informed investment around next months inventory purchases. They began to stock more of what customers wanted and began selling better as a result of it.
The new policy for Footgear is if a customer wants an item located in a different store, they arrange a courier to pick it up and deliver it to the customer the same day.
Put simply, what the customers are seeing online is what Footgear have in stock so they can guarantee delivery.
