Standard ecommerce setups only show warehouse stock. Click and collect software (also known as BOPIS retail software) connects your Shopify store directly to your physical store inventory. In Retail Express, it allows customers to see live store stock and choose a pickup location, while automating the order routing to the correct store for fulfilment.

Click and Collect is a licensed add-on for the Retail Express Shopify integration. It requires a specific licence to be enabled for your database.

Stock must be available at a single store for all items in the customer's cart. In Retail Express, stores without full availability are shown as "out of stock" for that pickup and cannot be selected, preventing split-store pickup issues.

All Shopify plans support store selection via Retail Express theme app blocks. Shopify Plus stores can also use the checkout UI extension for a more integrated pickup selection experience during the checkout process.

Yes. You typically create a $0 shipping method (e.g., "Store Pickup") in Shopify for customers to select so they are not charged for delivery when picking up their Retail Express order in person.

The standard Retail Express cart page app block requires a full cart page. If you use a side-drawer cart, you may need to direct customers to the full cart page to select their pickup store.

In Retail Express, staff receive alerts on the POS home page for new web orders. They can then use the Fulfilment tab or the Fulfilment Report to pick and complete the order.

While the pickup location can be passed via the Retail Express eCommerce API for other platforms, the built-in store finder and map experience is specifically optimized for Shopify.
